<h3 style="text-align: left;">
Prostate Cancer Basics: Symptoms</h3>
Many men with prostate cancer have no symptoms related to their cancer. For those that do have symptoms, they could include any of the following:<br />
<br />
Urinary problems – weak urine stream, difficulty initiating urination, stopping and starting during urination; urinating frequently, especially at night, pain or burning with urination. These symptoms are also often associated with noncancerous enlargement of the prostate, called benign prostatic hypertrophy or BPH.<br />
Blood – in the urine and semen.<br />
Pain – in the hips, pelvis, spine or upper legs.<br />
Pain or discomfort – during ejaculation.<br />
<br />

<h3 style="text-align: left;">
Prostate Cancer Basics: The Prostate</h3>
The prostate is a walnut sized gland that is part of the male reproductive system.<br />
The prostate is located beneath the urinary bladder and in front of the rectum.<br />
The prostate makes some of the fluid that nourishes and protects sperm cells in the semen. Just behind the prostate are the seminal vesicles, which make most of the fluid for the semen.<br />
The urethra is a tube that carries urine and semen out of the body through the penis, running through the prostate.<br />
The activity and growth of the prostate is stimulated by male hormones called androgens.<br />
The main androgen is testosterone, produced by the testicles.<br />
<br />
<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
Prostate Cancer Basics: Facts</h3>
Prostate cancer is the most common malignancy (other than skin cancer) diagnosed in men.<br />
On an annual basis globally, approximately 1.1 Million Men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 300,000 will die of prostate cancer this year.<br />
These statistics show that prostate cancer is a widely variable disease.<br />
Prostate cancer has the potential to grow and spread quickly, but for most men, it is a relatively slow growing disease.<br />
It is important for patients to discuss with their doctors the various aspects of their particular type of prostate cancer to understand how aggressive it is and how best to treat it.<br />

<br />
Research shows that men with certain risk factors are more likely to develop prostate cancer. These risk factors include the following:<br />
<br />
Age over 65 – this is the main risk factor for prostate cancer. The older a man gets, the more likely he will develop prostate cancer. This disease is rare in men under 45 years of age.<br />
Family History – one’s risk of prostate cancer is higher if you have a father, brother or son with prostate cancer.<br />
Race – prostate cancer is more common among African American men and less common among Asian/Pacific Islanders, Native American and Native Alaskan men.<br />
Certain Prostate Changes – men with cells called high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) may be at increased <a href="file:///Y:/_website/oncocare.in/httpdocs/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">risk for prostate cancer.</a><br />
Certain Genome Changes – research suggests that the risk for prostate cancer many be linked to specific changes on particular chromosomes.<br />
Having a risk factor does not mean that one will develop prostate cancer. Most men with any of the above risk factors will still never develop this disease.<br />

The human body constitutes of tiny cells that regenerate on its own. The body
automatically creates the healthy new cells after the death of the older ones.
It also includes the cells in the breasts. But when the cell transforms into a
harmful form, which eventually divides and multiplies at a rapid pace it gives
rise to a painful tumor. A mass or lump of abnormal body cells forms within the
breast, and it gives rise to breast cancer. <br />
<br />
Breast cancer is a typical form of malignant tumor that develops in your teen’s
breast. The cancerous cells can even spread to the other breast and felt a
lump. In rare cases, breast cancer spreads to other parts of your teen’s body
which include the bones, the liver, or elsewhere<br /><br />
In its early stages,breast cancer usually has no symptoms. As a tumor develops,
you may note the following signs:
<br />
A lump in the breast or
underarm that persists after your menstrual cycle. This is often the first
apparent symptom of breast cancer. Lumps associated with breast cancer are
usually painless, although some may cause a prickly sensation. Lumps are
usually visible on a <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">mammogram</a> long before they can be seen or felt.<br />
Swelling in the armpit.<br />
Pain or tenderness in the
breast. Although lumps are usually painless, pain or tenderness can be a sign
of breast cancer. <a href="http://oncocare.in/"><b>oncocare.in</b></a> is Best Hospital for <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer Treatment in India.</a><br />
<br />
A notice able flattening or
indentation on the breast, which may indicate a tumor that cannot be seen or
felt.<br />
Any change in the size,
contour, texture, or temperature of the breast. A reddish,pitted surface like
the skin of an orange could be a sign of advanced breast cancer.<br />
A change in the nipple, such
as a nipple retraction, dimpling, itching, a burning sensation, or ulceration.
A scaly rash of the nipple is symptomatic of Paget's disease, which may be
associated with an underlying breast cancer. </span><a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Breast Cancer Treatment in India</b></a><span style="font-family: "arial" , "sans-serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;"><br />
Unusual discharge from the
nipple that may be clear, bloody, or another color. It's usually caused by
benign conditions but could be due to cancer in some cases.<br />
A marble-like area under the
skin.<br />
An area that is distinctly
different from any other area on either breast.<br />

<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Brain mapping</a></h2>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Brain mapping is done during a craniotomy when a <a href="http://oncocare.in/brain-tumors.html" target="_blank">Brain Tumour</a> is near areas of the brain that control speech or motor function. Mapping is done by a technique called intraoperative cortical stimulation. The technique involves stimulating the surface of the brain with a mild electrical current to determine the function of a particular part of the brain. <a href="http://oncocare.in/brain-tumors.html" target="_blank"><b>Brain Tumors Treatment in india</b> </a> procedure is painless. It produces temporary speech disturbance or twitching in the part of the body that is controlled by the area of the brain being stimulated. This information is then “mapped” so that the surgeon can avoid these areas when removing the tumour. <a href="http://oncocare.in/"><b>oncocare.in</b></a> is Best Company for<a href="http://oncocare.in/brain-tumors.html" target="_blank"> <b>Brain Tumors Treatment in India</b></a><b>. </b></div>

<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Speech mapping</a></h3>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Speech mapping tracks the areas around the tumour that are responsible for speech and understanding speech. After a general anesthetic is given, the surgeon opens the skull and dura mater to expose the brain. The person is then woken up so that they can talk to the surgeon and follow any instructions given during the mapping. When the mapping is finished, the person is given a general anesthetic again and the <b><a href="http://oncocare.in/brain-tumors.html" target="_blank">Brain Tumors Treatment in India </a> </b><a href="http://oncocare.in/profile.html" target="_blank"><b>Brain Tumors Surgeon</b> </a>continues the operation to remove the<b> <a href="http://oncocare.in/brain-tumors.html" target="_blank">Brain Tumour.</a></b></div>

<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Motor mapping</a></h3>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Motor mapping tracks the areas around the <a href="http://oncocare.in/brain-tumors.html" target="_blank"><b>Brain Tumour</b></a> that are responsible for movement and reflexes. The person may remain under general anesthetic if the surgeon does not need direct feedback from the person. <a href="http://oncocare.in/brain-tumors.html" target="_blank"><b>Brain Tumors Surgeon</b></a> stimulates the areas around the tumour with an electrical current and watches for any movement of the body. As with speech mapping, the surgeon uses the mapped areas as a guide when removing the brain tumour.</div>

<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Radiation therapy</a> is the use of high-energy x-rays or other particles to kill <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer </a>cells. A doctor who specializes in giving radiation therapy to treat <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">cancer</a> is called a <a href="http://oncocare.in/profile.html" target="_blank">Radiation Oncologist in India</a>. The most common type of radiation treatment is called <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">external-beam radiation therapy</a>, which is radiation given from a machine outside the body. When radiation treatment is given using a probe in the operating room, it is called intraoperative radiation. When radiation is given by placing radioactive sources into the tumor, it is called <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">brachytherapy</a>. Although the research results are encouraging, intra-operative radiation and brachytherapy are not widely used, and treatment is typically reserved for a small cancer with no evidence that it has spread to the <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">lymph nodes</a>.</div>
<div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #414141; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, "Nimbus Sans L", sans-serif; font-size: 16.002px; margin-bottom: 1.1em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
A <a href="http://oncocare.in/add-more.html" target="_blank">radiation therapy</a> regimen usually consists of a specific number of treatments given over a set period of time. Most commonly, radiation therapy is given after a lumpectomy, and following adjuvant <a href="http://oncocare.in/add-more.html" target="_blank">chemotherapy</a> if recommended. Radiation therapy is usually given daily for a set number of weeks to get rid of any remaining cancer cells near the tumor site or elsewhere in the<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"> breast</a>. This helps lower the risk of recurrence in the breast. In fact, with modern surgery and radiation therapy, recurrence rates in the breast are now less than 5% in the 10 years after treatment, and survival is the same with lumpectomy or mastectomy.</div>
<div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #414141; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, "Nimbus Sans L", sans-serif; font-size: 16.002px; margin-bottom: 1.1em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Adjuvant radiation therapy may also recommended for some women after a mastectomy, depending on the age of the patient, the size of their tumor, the number of lymph nodes under the arm that contain cancer, the width of healthy tissue around the tumor removed by the surgeon, the ER, PR, and HER2 status, and other factors.</div>
<div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #414141; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, "Nimbus Sans L", sans-serif; font-size: 16.002px; margin-bottom: 1.1em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Neoadjuvant radiation therapy is radiation therapy given before surgery to shrink a large tumor, which makes it easier to remove. </div>
<div style="background: rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #414141; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, "Nimbus Sans L", sans-serif; font-size: 16.002px; margin-bottom: 1.1em; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Radiation therapy can cause side effects, including fatigue, swelling of the<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"> breast</a>, redness and/or skin discoloration/hyperpigmentation and pain/burning in the skin where the radiation was directed, sometimes with blistering or peeling. Very rarely, a small amount of the lung can be affected by the radiation, causing pneumonitis, a radiation-related swelling of the lung tissue. This risk depends on the size of the area that received radiation therapy, and this tends to heal with time. In the past, with older equipment and radiation therapy techniques, women who received <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Best Breast Cancer treatment in India</a> on the left side of the body had a small increase in the long-term risk of heart disease. Modern techniques are now able to spare most of the heart from the effects of radiation.</div>

<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Radiation therapy</a> uses high-energy radiation to shrink or eradicate <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">tumor cells</a>. Radiation therapy kills cancer cells by damaging their DNA, and cancer cells whose DNA is damaged beyond repair stop dividing or die. There are a variety of types of radiation used for <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">cancer treatments</a>. The radiation may come from a machine outside of the body (<a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">linear accelerator - LINAC</a>), or it may come from radioactive material placed in the body (brachytherapy).<br />
<br />
Patients may receive radiation therapy before, during or after surgery and/or chemotherapy, depending the on the type and site of cancer being treated.<br />

Patients typically receive external-beam radiation therapy in daily treatment sessions over the course of several weeks. The number of treatment sessions depends on many factors, including the total radiation dose that will de delivered. Additional items the physician will consider are type and size of the cancer, location in the body, proximity of the tumor to normal tissues that are sensitive to radiation, patient’s general health and medical history and if the patient will have any other type of <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">cancer treatment in india</a> (e.g., <a href="http://oncocare.in/add-more.html" target="_blank">Chemotherapy</a>).<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/">oncocare.in</a> has numerous clinical locations, strategically located throughout our network, where patients can receive radiation therapy. Radiation therapy is an important weapon in our battle against cancer. Depending on the type and extent of cancer, radiation therapy can be used alone or in combination with other treatments, such as<a href="http://oncocare.in/add-more.html" target="_blank"> surgery or chemotherapy</a>.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Radiation therapy</a> effectively treats cancer by using high-energy beams of radiation to pinpoint and destroy cancerous cells. Although radiation therapy is similar to an x-ray, the dose of <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">radiation in cancer treatment</a> is much stronger and is given over a longer period of time.<br />
<br />
Various forms of radiation therapy are available; the two basic types are <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">external beam radiation</a> and internal radiation, or brachytherapy.<br />
<br />
If your physician determines that radiation therapy should be a part of your treatment plan, and it is not offered within the area where you receive other services, you will be referred to one of our strategic partners for treatment. Your physician will discuss whether radiation therapy is right for you.<br />

<a href="http://oncocare.in/"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>oncocare.in</b></span></a> Each patient will meet with the radiation oncologist for a consultation and physical examination to discuss options and benefits of radiation therapy treatments. A comprehensive exam and past family/medical history will help determine correct options for<a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank"> <b>Cancer Treatment in India</b></a>. If <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank"><b>radiation therapy treatment</b></a> is pursued, patients will then be set up with a simulation appointment. At this appointment, a CT scan will be performed for treatment planning. This is similar to a regular CT scan except that we’ll use an immobilization device (such as a mask, mold, or bean-bag type bag) that will allow us to develop exact positioning throughout your course of radiation therapy. Small tattoos may also be placed on the skin to guide your radiation therapy team to ensure proper setup each day.</div>

Next, the dosimetrist, a member of your <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">Radiation Oncology</a>, will review your information and design a custom treatment plan which will outline the precise location of treatment. Films will be taken to ensure proper positioning and drawings may be made for your medical records. </div>

If you have <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast cancer</a>, your healthcare team will create a <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer Treatment in India</a> plan just for you. It will be based on your health and specific information about the <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer</a>. When deciding which treatments to offer for ductal carcinoma and lobular carcinoma, your healthcare team will consider:</div>
<ul style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; list-style-position: outside; margin: 0px 0px 0px 2rem; padding: 0px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">the stage</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">if you have reached menopause</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">the hormone receptor status of the cancer</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">the HER2 status of the cancer</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">the risk that the cancer will come back, or recur (for early stage breast cancers)</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">your overall health</li>
</ul>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
</div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
You may be offered one or more of the following treatments for breast cancer.</div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; color: #0079cc; font-family: "Rockwell W01", Rockwell, Georgia, serif; font-size: 1.53846rem; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.4; margin: 0px 0px 1.04615rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">

<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Most women with breast cancer will have surgery. Your healthcare team will talk to you about the different types of surgery to help you decide which is best for you. The types of surgery you will be offered depend mainly on:</div>
<ul style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; list-style-position: outside; margin: 0px 0px 0px 2rem; padding: 0px;">
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">the size and location of the tumour</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">the size of the breast</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">if the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes</li>
<li style="box-sizing: inherit; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">if you have already had any treatments for breast cancer</li>
</ul>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">

<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Surgery for breast cancer includes breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy and lymph node surgeries.</div>

<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
External beam radiation therapy uses a machine to direct radiation through the skin to the tumour and tissue around it.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Radiation therapy</a> is almost always given after breast-conserving<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"> Breast Cancer Surgery</a>. In some cases it may be given after a mastectomy. It is also used to treat breast cancer that has spread to the bones, lungs or brain.</div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; color: #0079cc; font-family: "Rockwell W01", Rockwell, Georgia, serif; font-size: 1.53846rem; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.4; margin: 0px 0px 1.04615rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">

<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Hormonal therapy is often used to treat hormone receptor–positive breast cancer. Post-menopausal women are given different hormonal therapy drugs than premenopausal women.</div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; color: #0079cc; font-family: "Rockwell W01", Rockwell, Georgia, serif; font-size: 1.53846rem; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.4; margin: 0px 0px 1.04615rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">

<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Chemotherapy </a>is a common treatment for breast cancer. It is often given after surgery for early stage breast cancer to reduce the risk that the cancer will come back. It is also the main treatment for advanced or metastatic breast cancer.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px;">
Combinations of chemotherapy drugs are most often used for breast cancer because they are more effective than single drugs.</div>

The <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">prostate gland</a> is part of a man's reproductive and urinary systems. The prostate is oval shaped with a rounded tip. <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">Peripheral zone</a></h4>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
The peripheral zone is the area of the prostate that is closest to the rectum. It can easily be felt by the doctor during a digital rectal examination (DRE). It is the largest zone of the prostate gland.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
The majority of <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">prostate tumours</a> (approximately 75%) are found in the peripheral zone.</div>
<h4 style="box-sizing: inherit; color: #0079cc; font-family: "Rockwell W01", Rockwell, Georgia, serif; font-size: 1.23077rem; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.4; margin: 0px 0px 0.8rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">Transition zone</a></h4>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
The transition zone is the middle area of the prostate, between the peripheral and central zones. It surrounds the urethra as it passes through the prostate. This zone makes up about 20% of the prostate gland until the age of 40.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
As men age, the transition zone begins to enlarge, until it becomes the largest area of the prostate. This is called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). When the transition zone enlarges, it pushes the peripheral zone of the prostate toward the rectum.</div>
<h4 style="box-sizing: inherit; color: #0079cc; font-family: "Rockwell W01", Rockwell, Georgia, serif; font-size: 1.23077rem; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.4; margin: 0px 0px 0.8rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">Central zone</a></h4>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
The central zone is in front of the transition zone. It is the part of the prostate that is farthest from the rectum. Because of this, <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">prostate cancer</a> in this zone cannot be felt by the doctor during a DRE.</div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: inherit; color: #0079cc; font-family: "Rockwell W01", Rockwell, Georgia, serif; font-size: 1.53846rem; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.4; margin: 0px 0px 1.04615rem; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
<a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">Function of prostate</a></h2>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
The main function of the prostate is to produce the fluid portion of semen. The gland cells within the prostate produce a thin fluid rich in proteins and minerals that maintain and nourish sperm. This fluid is made continuously. The excess passes from the body in the urine. When a man is sexually aroused, the prostate produces larger amounts of this fluid. It then mixes with sperm and is ejaculated as semen.</div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
The prostate also plays a part in controlling the flow of urine. The urethra runs from the bladder, through the prostate, and out through the penis. The muscle fibres of the prostate are wrapped around the urethra and are under <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">involuntary nervous system</a> control. These fibres contract to slow and stop the flow of urine.</div>

The <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">prostate</a> is part of a man’s <b><a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">reproductive system</a></b>. It is a walnut-sized gland just below the bladder and in front of the rectum. It surrounds part of the urethra, which is the tube that carries urine and semen through the <b>penis. The prostate makes part a liquid called seminal fluid, which mixes with sperm from the testicles to make semen. Semen is released from the penis during orgasm.</b></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
Cells in the <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Prostate Cancer</b></a> sometimes change and no longer grow or behave normally. These changes may lead to non-cancerous, or benign, conditions such as prostatitis and benign <b><a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)</a>.</b></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
Changes to cells of the prostate can also cause precancerous conditions. This means that the cells are not yet cancer but there is a higher chance these abnormal changes will become Prostate Cancer. Precancerous conditions that can develop in the <b>prostate are prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN), proliferative inflammatory atrophy (PIA) and atypical small acinar proliferation (ASAP).</b></div>
<div style="box-sizing: inherit; font-family: ff-dax-web-pro, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px; text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;">
In some cases, changes to prostate cells can cause <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>prostate cancer</b></a>. Most often, prostate cancer starts in glandular cells of the prostate. These cells make a part of the seminal fluid. This type of cancer is called adenocarcinoma of the prostate.</div>

The exact cause of <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast cancer</a> — that is, what causes breast cells to start to grow out of control — is not known. The combination of a person's genes and their environment likely plays a role in the development of the disease.</div>

In about 5 to 10 percent of <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer</a> cases, genetic mutations are linked to the disease. Some studies show that women with mutations in the BRCA1 gene have a 50 percent to 70 percent chance of <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">getting breast cancer</a> by age 70, and women with mutations in the BRCA2 gene have a 40 percent to 60 percent chance, a nonprofit organization that funds breast-cancer research and advocates for patients.</div>

<br />
A woman’s most positive course of <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer treatment</a> will be determined using a number of factors including the size/location of the breast tumor, the stage of the cancer, and laboratory results. Tests that measure Estrogen Receptor (ER) and Progesterone Receptor (PR) are important because the results could be prognostic. These tests can show the potential aggressiveness of the cancer and predict response to treatment. Obtaining a second opinion before beginning breast cancer treatment is recommended. Patients should learn about all treatment options available to them and are encouraged to discuss all possible alternatives with their physician or cancer treatment team. In most cases, women with breast cancer will undergo surgery as part of their cancer treatment. The most common types of breast surgery include: lumpectomy and mastectomy. In addition to a lumpectomy or a mastectomy, some patients will receive adjuvant (additional) treatment to stop cancer growth, spread, or recurrence. Types of adjuvant therapies include: <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">chemotherapy</a>, <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">radiation therapy</a>, and <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">drug treatments</a>. Some women may be treated with chemotherapy, radiation, or drugs without having <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast surgery.</a><br />
<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Screening Test For Breast Cancer </a> and treatment norms are continually changing. To help clarify your choices, here are 5 questions to ask your doctor:<br />
<br />
What are all of my options for testing or treatment for my condition?<br />
How exactly might the treatment help me?<br />
How good is the evidence I’ll benefit from the treatment?<br />
What side effects can I expect, and what bad outcomes might happen?<br />
If it’s a test, what do you expect to learn from it, and how might it change my treatment? If it won’t, why do I need it?<br />

<br />
Lumpectomy<br />
<br />
Lumpectomy refers to the surgical removal of a tumor in the breast along with a small section of the surrounding normal breast tissue. This tissue is then tested for cancerous cells. Lymph nodes may also be removed for testing. If cancerous cells are discovered, additional surgery or treatment may be necessary. Women who undergo a lumpectomy normally receive radiation therapy for about six weeks following the procedure to kill any cancer cells that may have been missed with the removal of the tumor.<br />
<br />
Mastectomy<br />
<br />
Mastectomy is the surgical removal of the breast. Types of mastectomy include simple, modified radical, and radical. The removal of some or all of the lymph nodes may or may not occur during the mastectomy. In most case reconstruction is possible almost immediately after the surgery. Mastectomy is usually the treatment for women with <b>Stage 0, Stage I, Stage II, or Stage III breast cancers</b>. Surgeons sometimes perform radical mastectomy on <b>Stage IV </b>patients to provide symptom relief.<br />
<br />
Auxiliary node dissection is the removal of some or all of the lymph nodes in the underarm. Auxiliary node dissections are usually done on women having a mastectomy to determine if the cancer has spread past the breast. Sentinel node <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">biopsy</a> is when only the sentinel lymph node is removed to estimate <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast cancer</a> metastasis (spread). <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Lymphedema</a> (chronic swelling of the arm) is a potentially dangerous side effect of lymph node removal.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Sentinel lymph node biopsy</a> followed by <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer Surgery</a><br />
<br />
The sentinel lymph node is the first lymph node to receive lymphatic drainage from a tumor. It is usually the first place that breast cancer will spread to. To identify the sentinel node, an injection of radioactive material or blue dye is given near the tumor. The sentinel node will be the first lymph node to receive the substance or dye. It is then removed and analyzed. If cancer cells are not found, the surgeon will proceed with the removal of the tumor.<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><br /></a>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Chemotherapy</a><br />
<br />
Chemotherapy is an anticancer drug therapy and is normally given intravenously (through the vein) or orally in pill or liquid form. Chemotherapy may be used on its own or with a lumpectomy or mastectomy. Chemotherapy is a systemic form of treatment; it flows through the bloodstream, affecting the entire body. Its purpose is to obstruct the DNA synthesis of cancer cells. The appropriate combination of drugs used for chemotherapy is based on the patient's cancer type and individual medical profile.<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><br /></a>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Radiation</a><br />
<br />
Radiation therapy uses high-energy rays to prevent breast cancer cells from growing and dividing. Ionizing radiation leaves energy in the area being treated. This process injures cancer cells by damaging genetic material and stops growth. Even though radiation damages both cancer cells and normal cells, the normal cells are usually able to repair themselves after radiation.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Drug Therapy</a><br />
<br />
A variety of drugs may be used with or without breast surgery to treat breast cancer. The most common breast cancer drug is tamoxifen. It interfers with the estrogen receptors in breast cancer cells. By blocking estrogen in the breast, tamoxifen helps reduce the growth and reproduction of breast cancer cells.Other drugs may be used with or without breast surgery to treat breast cancer. They include:<br />
<br />
Herceptin: used to treat breast cancer patients who are Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 2-positive (HER2 )<br />
Ellence: used in conjunction with <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">chemotherapy</a> (cyclophosphamide and fluorouracil) to treat early stage breast cancer<br />
Taxol: used to treat early and advanced stages of <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast cancer</a><br />
Docetaxel: used in conjunction with chemotherapy to treat advanced <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast cancer</a><br />
Aromasin: used in post-menopausal breast cancer patients with advanced breast cancer<br />
Arimidex: used in advanced (metastatic) breast cancer patients who have not responded well to tamoxifen<br />
<br />

<div>
<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast cancer</a> is classified by <b>stages of development</b>. The classification allows a better understanding of prognosis and treatment.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Early (zero) stage of breast cancer is considered as a state in which the atypical cells are localized in the breast tissue and there are no signs that they have spread to the lymph nodes.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Stage 1 of <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast cancer</a></b>: tumor size less than two centimeters (approximately an inch) and has not spread to surrounding lymph nodes or outside the breast.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Stage 2 breast cancer</b> is divided into two groups: the size of the tumor and whether or not it has spread to the lymph nodes:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Stages of breast cancer</a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b><a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">2A</a></b>: tumor less than 2 cm in cross section with the spread to the lymph node, or tumor from 2 to 5 cm without the spread to auxiliary lymph nodes.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b><a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">2B</a></b>: tumor more than 5 cm in cross section (the result of auxiliary lymph nodes research is negative for cancer cells) or tumor from 2 to 5 cm in diameter with the involvement of auxiliary lymph nodes. Late (metastatic) stages of breast cancer occur when cancer cells spread to the lymph nodes and other tissues.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Stage 3 breast cancer</b> is also divided in to two categories:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b><a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">3A</a></b>: tumor measures more than 5 cm with spread to auxiliary lymph nodes (local spread of breast cancer) or tumor of any size with metastases in auxiliary lymph nodes, which are weaved to each other or with the adjacent tissues.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b><a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">3B</a></b>: tumor (any size) with metastases into the skin, chest wall or internal lymph nodes of mammary gland (found below the breast inside of chest).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Stage 4 </b>is defined by the spread of the cancer to other organs or tissues, such as the liver, lungs, brain, skeletal system, or lymph nodes near the collarbone.</div>

The most common forms of <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast cancers</a> begin in the milk ducts, lobules or glands and are named accordingly. There are many types of breast cancer but a pathologist can identify the differences by observing sections of the <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">tumor</a> through a microscope. It is important to speak with your healthcare team as each <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer Treatment</a> case is unique.</div>

<div>
The term “in situ” or "in place" refers to a very early form of cancer that has not spread. DCIS is a type of pre-cancer inside of the ductal system that has not attacked the nearby tissue. Currently, there is no way to determine if this type of breast cancer will go on to become invasive. This is a very common type of non invasive cancer with 1 in 5 diagnosed as DCIS. Nearly all patients diagnosed with this type of pre-cancer can be cured. </div>

<div>
Lobular Carcinoma in Situ (LCIS)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is a very rare non-invasive tumor that most doctors believe will not develop into invasive cancer. LCIS is more of a “marker” or signal that breast cancer may develop. Described as an abnormal growth in the number of cells, LCIS has recently been renamed lobular neoplasia. Women who have these “markers” are at greater risk of developing breast cancer later in life.<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma (IDC)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
IDC is the most common type of breast cancer. It starts in the milk ducts of your breast and spreads to surrounding tissues. IDC could spread through the lymph system or bloodstream to other parts of your body. Approximately 8 out of 10 invasive breast cancers are IDC.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Medullary Carcinoma</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Medullary carcinoma accounts for 15% of all breast cancer types. It most frequently occurs in women in their late 40s and 50s, presenting with cells that resemble the medulla (gray matter) of the brain.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Infiltrating Lobular Carcinoma (ILC)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
ILC is the second most common type of breast cancer after infiltrating ductual carcinoma. It usually appears as a subtle thickening in the upper-outer section of the breast. ILC starts in the lobules or lobes and has an greater chance of spreading to other parts of the body. Usually positive for estrogen and progesterone receptors, these tumors respond well to hormone therapy. About 1 out of 10 invasive breast cancers is ILC. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Tubular Carcinoma</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Tubular carcinoma cells have a distinctive tubular structure when viewed under a microscope. This type of breast cancer is typically found in women aged 50 and above. It has an excellent 10-year survival rate of 95%. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Mucinous Carcinoma (Colloid)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Mucinous (colloid) carcinoma is a rare type of invasive breast cancer that rarely spreads to your lymph nodes. It is formed when cancer cells inside your breast produce mucous. This mucous contains cancer cells that are very distinct from normal cells under a microscope. The mucous and cancer cells combine to form jelly-like tumors. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Paget’s Disease</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Paget’s disease of the breast is an eczema-like change in the skin of the nipple. The nipple becomes itchy and scaly and does not get better. Studies have shown that 9 out of 10 women who experience these symptoms have an underlying breast cancer. Paget’s Disease can occur at any age but will more likely occur in women who are in their 50s.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Inflammatory<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"> breast cancer</a> is a rare and very aggressive type of cancer that accounts for 1-3% of all breast cancers. It causes the lymph vessels in the skin of the breast to become blocked. IBC usually grows in nests or sheets, rather than as a confined, solid tumor or palpable mass. This type of breast cancer is called "inflammatory" because the breast often looks swollen and red, or "inflamed". It is often mistaken for an infection called "mastitis" and treated with antibiotics. If the patient shows no signs of improvement, further testing will be required to determine if cancer is present. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
IBC requires quick and aggressive treatment. Here are important<b> symptoms</b> to watch for:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Increase in breast size over a relatively short period of time (sometimes a cup size in a few days)</div>
<div>
Itching that is unrelenting and unrelieved by oral drugs or topical agents</div>
<div>
Pink, red, or dark-colored areas sometimes with peau d'orange (texture similar to the skin of an orange)</div>
<div>
Ridges and thickened areas of the skin</div>
<div>
What appears to be a bruise that does not go away</div>
<div>
Nipple flattening or retraction</div>
<div>
Nipple discharge</div>
<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast</a> is excessively warm to the touch</div>
<div>
Breast is harder or firmer than usual</div>
<div>
Breast pain which is not cyclic in nature (may be constant or stabbing)</div>
<div>
Change in color and/or texture of the areola (area surrounding the nipple)</div>
<div>
Swollen lymph nodes in the underarm or above the collarbone</div>
<div>
Triple Negative Breast Cancer</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This breast cancer is Estrogen receptor negative, Progesterone receptor negative and HER2neu negative. This type of breast cancer accounts for approximately 15% of all invasive breast cancers. It is most commonly found in younger patients, African American (up to 60% premenopausal women in Africa) and BRAC1 carriers (up to 80%).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
ER, PR and HER2 are known to fuel most breast cancers and the most successful treatments target these receptors. Medicines like Tamoxifen and Herceptin are not helpful in treating TNBC however this type of breast cancer does respond well to chemotherapy. </div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.25em; padding-top: 0px;">
We now live in both the best of times and the worst of times in which to be diagnosed with <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">cancer</a>. In industrialized countries of the world, most people with cancer have access to well-established standards of care, including state-of-the art, expensive, <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">Cancer Treatment in India</a> modalities. For childhood cancer in particular, this has meant that now some 70% of children stricken with many forms of the deadly disease survive or are cured. In developing and transitional countries, however, the cancer picture continues to be quite bleak and cancer is expected mean death. In these nations, it is estimated that 90% of children with cancer die, and only some 10% have access to Cancer treatment at all.</div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.25em; padding-top: 0px;">
Greatly improved access to information and the development of electronic media worldwide, now mean that most literate people are aware that modern <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">cancer treatments in India</a> exist. When a loved one anywhere is diagnosed with cancer, families naturally want them to be able to receive the best treatment possible. But if they live in a country where treatments are not available or are priced beyond their reach, they look for other alternatives.</div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.25em; padding-top: 0px;">
This improved information access has created cruel dilemmas for many families. While the well-off of developing countries have always sought treatment abroad, mostly in the USA or Europe, this option is usually not possible for ordinary citizens. Expectations are further raised by news coverage that highlights extraordinary high-tech medical procedures and <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">Cancer treatments</a> performed in the India. Rarely however are mundane matters like the fact that the India is also unique as the only industrialized nation in the world without a national health system, ever mentioned. The reputation of the India for innovation, resources, technological advances, and the generosity of its people has been well known throughout the world. Therefore people believe that miracles are possible if only one can come to this advantaged nation.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHWvZ2VixRt2mLpK0JW5wlY51tZPfexCENoAnHNID1MhqFSoZnrATgjOBd5J_Ax1fpZhTjvgrRtTFafNIaYAnT7N93G37gu3rntUMJqyahn3Ptv8mwLorucctggwXcAlf5xkyQ89VIiIq8/s1600/Oncology_Surgical_Interventional_oncology.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHWvZ2VixRt2mLpK0JW5wlY51tZPfexCENoAnHNID1MhqFSoZnrATgjOBd5J_Ax1fpZhTjvgrRtTFafNIaYAnT7N93G37gu3rntUMJqyahn3Ptv8mwLorucctggwXcAlf5xkyQ89VIiIq8/s400/Oncology_Surgical_Interventional_oncology.png" width="400" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.25em; padding-top: 0px;">
In the developing and transitional countries of the world that have any form of health system, health care services may be provided, but patients must purchase their own medications and supplies. Many basic chemotherapy drugs, for example are either not available or are so astronomically expensive, that patients cannot afford them.</div>
<div style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.25em; padding-top: 0px;">
It is also of note that due to the changing immigration patterns in recent years, it is likely that patients from any part of the world may have family or friends living in the USA. Therefore, a normal response for patients diagnosed with cancer in a resource-poor country is to seek care in the India.</div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Developing adequate cancer control programs worldwide is a challenge that won't be met for some time to come, although incremental progress is being made. The most practical and cost-effective long-term goal is for patients to be able to receive necessary care in their home country or region. However, the patients of today need help now. This fact sheet attempts to address the issues and to present a realistic picture of treatment possibilities.</span><span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"> </span></div>

<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Screening Test in India</a></div>
<div>
<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank"><br /></a></div>
<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">Screening</a> refers to testing to find a disease such as <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">cancer</a> in people who do not have symptoms of that disease. For some types of cancer, screening can help find cancers at an early stage, when they are more easily cured.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The American Cancer Society recommends that men have a chance to make an informed decision with their health care provider about whether to be screened for<a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank"> prostate cancer.</a> The decision should be made after getting information about the uncertainties, risks, and potential benefits of prostate cancer screening. Men should not be screened unless they have received this information.</div>
<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">Prostate Cancer Treatment in India</a></div>
<div>
The discussion about screening should take place at age 50 for men who are at average risk of <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">prostate cancer</a> and are expected to live at least 10 more years.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This discussion should take place starting at age 45 for men at high risk of developing prostate cancer. This includes African-American men and men who have a first-degree relative (father, brother, or son) diagnosed with <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">prostate cancer</a> at an early age (younger than age 65).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This discussion should take place at age 40 for men at even higher risk (those with more than one first-degree relative who had prostate cancer at an early age).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
After this discussion, those men who want to be screened should be tested with the prostate-specific antigen (<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">PSA</a>) blood test. The digital rectal exam (DRE) may also be done as a part of screening.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If, after this discussion, a man is unable to decide if testing is right for him, the screening decision can be made by the health care provider, who should take into account the patient’s general health preferences and values.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Assuming no prostate cancer is found as a result of <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">screening</a>, the time between future screenings depends on the results of the PSA blood test:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Men who choose to be tested who have a PSA of less than 2.5 ng/ml, may only need to be retested every 2 years.</div>
<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">Screening Prostate Cancer</a> should be done yearly for men whose PSA level is 2.5 ng/ml or higher.</div>
</div>

Medical management and treatment of <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Prostate Cancer </b></a><br />
You and your doctor may decide to treat your <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Prostate Cancer Treatment in India</b></a> with surgery, <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank"><b>radiation therapy</b></a>, hormone therapy, or a combination. As part of your treatment in the<b> <a href="http://oncocare.in/">oncocare.in</a></b>, patients have their cases reviewed weekly by nationally recognized experts in <b>Radiation oncology -- medical oncologists, radiation oncologists</b> -- who are supported by a specially trained nursing and physician-assistant staff with specific expertise in <b><a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank">Radiation Oncology</a></b>. Together, this team recommends personalized, patient specific <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Prostate cancer Treatment in India</b></a>.<br />
<br />
There are many variables that are taken into consideration when your <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Prostate Cancer treatment</b></a> plan is devised and discussed in the weekly conference such as other health risks, the level of your disease and past health history. Main treatment options may include one or more of the following:<br />
<br />
Radical prostatectomy (surgery)<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank"><b>Radiation therapy</b></a> with the intent to cure<br />
Treatment plans can include intensity modulated radiation therapy, proton therapy and brachytherapy (seeds) [see the Radiation Oncology website for more information].<br />
Hormone therapy<br />
Chemical or surgical castration to remove the source of hormones fueling the cancer. Though not curative, hormone therapy can keep the cancer at bay for an extended time.<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank"><b>Chemotherapy</b></a><br />
Active surveillance with regular medical checkups<br />
Cryotherapy<br />
This procedure freezes the cancerous tissue and is used when other therapies have failed.<br />
Referral to the High Risk Prostate Cancer<br />
Surgery<br />
Surgery for prostate cancer, called a radical prostatectomy, is used with intent to cure and involves removing the entire prostate gland and some of the nearby tissue. There are a number of ways to perform this surgery, including open, laparoscopic and robotic. Your surgeon will discuss the advantages and disadvantages for each of these options. Our team has considerable experience in performing this type of <b><a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">Prostate Cancer Surgery</a>.</b><br />
<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/add-more.html" target="_blank"><b>Robotic prostatectomy</b></a> with intent to cure is becoming a sought after surgical option. duplicates the standard surgery to remove the <b><a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">Prostate Gland</a> </b>but with smaller incisions. The goal of this procedure is to excise the <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Prostate Cancer Treatment in India</b></a> completely, provide good urinary continence post-operatively and maintain ability to have erections after the<b> <a href="http://oncocare.in/prostate-cancer.html" target="_blank">Prostate Cancer Surgery in India</a></b>.<br />
<br />
Our robotic surgery is made up of five urologic oncologists and one urologist, all specializing in <b><a href="http://oncocare.in/add-more.html" target="_blank">robotic surgery</a> </b>and performs hundreds of prostatectomies each year.<br />
<br />
Robotic surgery uses slender telescope-like instruments placed through small incisions as opposed to a large incision that is typical in an open surgery. The surgeon controls the robot from a console next to the patient where the operating field can be viewed in three dimensions. This type of technology, which acts as an extension of the surgeons hands, allowing for more accurate surgery with better outcomes, less pain, less risk of wound infection, less blood loss, less scarring and faster recovery time.<br />
<br />
All prostate surgical techniques carry a risk of urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction. Your surgeon will explain these risks and help you connect to<a href="http://oncocare.in/profile.html" target="_blank"><b> Dr. Kundan singh Chufal</b></a> Best <span style="background-color: white; color: #7bc144; font-family: "montserrat" , sans-serif; font-size: 16px; text-transform: capitalize;">Coordinator Oncology, Head Radiation Oncology,Senior Consultant, Batra Cancer Centre </span>where you and your spouse or partner can receive aftercare and support.<br />

Minimally invasive breast surgery (MIBS) encompasses a range of surgical and non-surgical steps taken to improve the physical, emotional, and quality of life impact for women with <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast cancer</a>. MIBS is more that simply the act of performing operations through small incisions. The more important goals of MIBS are to improve the outcome of breast cancer treatment by:</div>

Preserving or even improving breast appearance</div>
<div>
Minimizing short and long-term side effects of surgery</div>

Hidden scar nipple-sparing mastectomy. This type of mastectomy is a nipple sparing mastectomy procedure performed through a small, 2-3 inch incision hidden in the skin fold under the breast. Combined with immediate breast reconstruction, hidden scar nipple sparing mastectomy results in a completely normal-looking (if not better than normal looking) breast with intact skin, nipple, and areola and no visible scar when the <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast</a> is viewed from the front.</div>
<div>
Lymph node-sparing surgery. Axillary reverse mapping entails injecting blue dye into the nearby arm, which temporarily turns the arm lymph nodes blue in color to make it easier for <a href="http://oncocare.in/profile.html" target="_blank">Dr. Kundan</a> to see and protect arm lymph nodes during<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"> breast cancer surgery</a>. Protection of arm nodes and lymph vessels preserves the drainage of lymph fluid from the arm, thereby preventing or reducing the risk of lymphedema.</div>

<br />
What to expect during <a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank">external beam radiation therapy (EBRT)</a><br />
<br />
<a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank"><b>Radiation treatment in India </b></a>is usually started after enough time has gone by for your surgery wound to heal, often at least 2 to 3 weeks. EBRT is usually given once a day, 5 days a week, for a set number of weeks. Or you may go to the radiation center twice a day and get a larger dose of radiation over a shorter period of time. You will need to go to the radiation clinic every day for treatment.<br />
<br />
Radiation treatment is a lot like getting an X-ray, but the radiation is stronger. The radiation comes from a large machine. The machine doesn't touch you during the <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Breast Cancer Specialist in India</b></a>. The treatments don't hurt and they are quick. The whole process will likely take less than an hour.<br />
<br />
Things like lotion, powder, and deodorant can interfere with EBRT. You may be asked not to use them until after treatment.<br />
<br />
On the day of treatment, you are carefully put into the right position. If you need to lie in an awkward position, the radiologist may make a mold of your body, which can be used to support you and keep you from moving during treatment. You may see lights from the machine lined up with the marks on your skin. These help the therapist know you are in the right position. The therapist will leave the room while the machine sends radiation to your tumor. During this time, he or she can see you, hear you, and talk to you. When the machine sends radiation to your <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">tumor</a>, you will need to be very still, but you do not have to hold your breath.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqgTkk53hN2EQmc0X1CQr5KlgD0ha6KGd9pKwqmpKPxL8azFaBbdPJWLuZOnYgbd4ercTAK3WeCjMbA0DoBeVnzpK_rlo0rQ-E1tjch5_if3e3Ti6WNd8AAJ7EQ7cIHGTnCYJrXIjSS2Hv/s1600/201110-omag-breast-cancer-ribbon-949x534.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqgTkk53hN2EQmc0X1CQr5KlgD0ha6KGd9pKwqmpKPxL8azFaBbdPJWLuZOnYgbd4ercTAK3WeCjMbA0DoBeVnzpK_rlo0rQ-E1tjch5_if3e3Ti6WNd8AAJ7EQ7cIHGTnCYJrXIjSS2Hv/s320/201110-omag-breast-cancer-ribbon-949x534.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The <a href="http://oncocare.in/profile.html" target="_blank"><b>radiation oncologist and the radiation therapist</b></a> will carefully monitor the intensity and length of each radiation treatment. They will also check the area that is being treated. You will get regular physical exams and blood tests during the course of your treatments.<br />
<br />
What to expect during internal radiation therapy<br />
<br />
For<a href="http://oncocare.in/index.html" target="_blank"> internal radiation therapy</a>, the radiation is directed from inside the body. The radiation therapist places small thin hollow tube called a catheter directly into the <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Breast Cancer</b></a> where the tumor used to be. Radioactive seeds or pellets are then put into the catheter for short periods of time each day. They are then removed when the treatment is over. Internal radiation may be done along with or instead of EBRT. </div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>What is radiation therapy? </b> </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank"><b>Radiation therapy</b></a> is a treatment for cancer that uses high-energy X-rays. A machine directs the rays of energy to the area of cancer. Radiation therapy is also called radiotherapy. Its goal is to kill or shrink cancer cells from <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Breast</b></a>. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
When might radiation therapy be used for breast cancer?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank"><b>Radiation Treatment in India</b></a> is most often used along with other<b> <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast cancer treatments in India</a></b>, like surgery or chemotherapy. Your doctor may advise radiation if either of the below apply to you:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You have an early stage breast cancer. You would get radiation after <b><a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer Surgery in India</a>.</b> This is called adjuvant treatment. Radiation is often used after <b><a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">breast-conserving surgery</a>.</b> It is sometimes used after mastectomy. The goal is to kill cancer cells that can't be seen, but may have been left behind after <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank"><b>Breast Surgery</b></a>, which lowers the chance the cancer will come back.</div>
<div>
You have metastatic breast cancer. This means the cancer has spread. The goal of radiation in this case is mainly to ease symptoms of the Breast Cancer. This is sometimes called palliative treatment.</div>
<div>
Types of radiation therapy</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The types of therapy include: </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
External radiation. This is called external beam therapy (EBRT). It’s the most common type used to treat <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>Breast Cancer Treatment in India</b></a>. A treatment that precisely sends high levels of radiation directly to the cancer cells. The machine is controlled by the radiation therapist. Since radiation is used to kill <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>cancer</b></a> cells and to shrink tumors, special shields may be used to protect the tissue surrounding the treatment area.</div>
<div>
Internal radiation. This is called brachytherapy or implant radiation. This type of radiation treatment is given inside the body in the area of the cancer. It gives a higher dose of radiation to a small area for a shorter time. The radiation source may be put directly into the area of the breast tumor. Or it may be put in through a small tube placed near the tumor.</div>
<div>
Before radiation therapy</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Your radiation oncologist may do some imaging tests before your <a href="http://oncocare.in/" target="_blank"><b>radiation therapy in India</b></a>. These may include X-rays and computed tomography (CT) scans. Imaging tests help show exactly where you need treatment. You may have the same tests after treatment to see how well it worked. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Before you start Breast cancer treatment in India, <a href="http://oncocare.in/"><b>oncocare</b>.in</a> is<b> <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Best Breast Cancer Treatment in India</a>,</b> imaging scans will be used to measure the exact location of the tumor so the beams of radiation can be focused there. Usually it's aimed at the whole breast. Sometimes it has to be aimed under your arm and at other parts of your chest, too. Small ink marks may be put on your skin to mark the treatment area. This ensures that the radiation reaches only the tumor, and not healthy parts of your body.</div>

Routine care is the best way to keep you and your <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>breasts</b></a> healthy. Although detecting<a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"> <b>breast cancer</b></a> at its earliest stages is the main goal of routine breast care, other benign conditions, such as fibrocystic breasts or cysts, are often discovered during routine care.</div>
<div>
<b><a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Best Breast Cancer Treatment in India</a></b></div>
<div>
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in the United States, other than skin cancer.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
According to the National Cancer Institute, when breast cancer is found early and is still localized (restricted to the site of origin, without evidence of spread), the relative survival rate, when measured at five years, is around 98 percent. When <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank"><b>breast cancer</b></a> is found at a late stage (cancer that has spread to distant parts of the body), the survival rate at five years is about 23 percent.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Although the incidence of breast cancer is beginning to decrease, one out of eight women will develop breast cancer at some point in her life. Mortality rates have decreased over the past several years because of early detection and improved treatment of Breast.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you are diagnosed with<b> <a href="http://oncocare.in/breast-cancer.html" target="_blank">Breast Cancer Treatment in India</a></b>, the most important thing for you to remember is that it is not a hopeless condition. It is recommended that women should begin having mammogram tests yearly at age 40. According to the American Cancer Society, about 10% of women who had a mammogram might require more tests if they have dense breast or are under the age of 40. This is because the mammogram test might not give proper results.</div>
